Singing for Christmas

We've not been able to organise Singing Round the Tree outside the Tithe Barn this year: our regular musical arranger is simply too busy with numerous other Christmassy musical events. However, the good news is that there will be other opportunities to have a Christmas singsong next weekend.

Jenny Nelson, Rector of Holy Trinity Church, invites everyone to join in celebrating the conclusion of this year’s Christmas Tree Festival on Sunday 15 December – surrounded by more than 75 beautifully decorated Christmas trees.

This informal gathering starts at 3.30pm and will last for around 45 minutes, with Christmas jumpers encouraged! Donations for The Hub will be gratefully accepted.

Carols around the trees

Next Sunday also sees the grand finale of the Bradford on Avon Carollers' pub sessions.

Ever since 2010, the Carollers have been singing unusual and traditional carols in the town's pubs and this year's final session, accompanied by the Carollers Band, is at The Boathouse, Trowbridge Road, starting at 4pm.

It's fantastically good fun, and a great way to really get into the Christmas spirit.
