Planning Committee

Chair: Rosie MacGregor

We monitor planning, listed building and advertisement applications sent to Wiltshire Council, the local planning authority and comment on matter of concern.

We also follow-up on any breaches of planning control affecting the historic built environment that are drawn to our attention and notify the planning authority accordingly.

The Landscape Group

Chair: Kate Nicholls

A small informal group that meets for a few projects around the Town and Barton Farm.

  • Created and maintains the flowerbeds on the riverside of the swimming pool

  • Planted bulbs and trees at a number of places around the town

  • Maintains the Hens’ Orchard, by the Tithe Barn (masterminded by Simon Relph)

  • Working on a wildflower project at North Meadow, Barton Farm

  • Oversees tree planning applications and if necessary, makes comments or objections

  • Usually arranges a wildflower walk in spring/early summer.

  • We welcome new members and your ideas

Social and Events Committee

Chair:  Frances Nevin

The activities of this Committee have been put on hold during the current COVID-19 situation.

However, usually this committee is responsible for the organising and hosting of Trust events such as the quarterly talks held at Priory Barn, and trips for members.

We are always looking for new ideas and members.
